From Football 365.fr: -

Lens' Jimmy Kebe is hoping Boulogne-sur-Mer will relent and allow him to join Reading this month.

The 23-year-old midfielder is on loan at Boulogne and they are attempting to block his proposed switch to The Premier League, even if a deal has been agreed with his parent club Lens.

"I did not expect an offer like this one so early," the Mali international told football 365.fr. "I went to see the coach [Steve Coppell] directly to speak to him about it.

"Apparently, they do not like that too much in Boulogne.

"I want to leave, it is clear. The club made me understand their will to keep me and I am well here in Boulogne. But I have this opportunity and I really believe that it is my chance.

"I thought that Reading were going to agree with Lens and everything would be processed.

"I always dreamed of going to England. It's an opportunity I've got to seize to play against clubs like Arsenal or Manchester United. It's the chance of my life and can only be beneficial for my development.

"I would have the possibility there of playing on Saturday against Manchester United! Rather than watching it on the telly, I can at least be on the bench.

"I had several offers but the coaches did not call me. There, the coach of Reading, Steve Coppell, invited me over and told me he wanted me.

"Obviously it is flattering."

Inara,

I have to disagree about Belhadj not being an improvement over Grosso. He is a far better option than the washed up Italian I should think.

Glad to see you finally got your wish about getting Belhadj. I agree that he's a talented player and should have been given more chances, but I don't think he's necessarily an improvement over Grosso right now. With more experience, he would be though. Hope he does well for you guys!
