Shazback, I’m a Lyon fan and hurts to see Belhadj playing like he’s capable of, and then having to watch the play of Grosso. I’m getting an ulcer actually. Although most of my co-fans don’t seem to agree. Just glad that Belhadj is getting to show what he can do, and is appreciated.

However strange this might seem, I’m shocked by two things :

1 – How come Belhadj didn’t start more at Lyon playing like that? How can one of the best left backs in France go from title chasers to relegation fighters?

2 – How can the team that’s 2nd in the league play so poorly without fielding a 2nd rate squad? Nancy weren’t their usual cool efficient self. And it’s worrying the number of “easy” upsets there have been in this Coupe de la Ligue. Sure, the motivation isn’t there, but it’s just crazy to see that in each game it’s the lower team in the league that won…
