Happy birthday Adama!

By: Jay | October 10th, 2007

Well, on this day 27 years ago in Bamako, Mali Mr. Adama Coulibaly was born. It wouldn’t be long before the strong and powerful youngster would begin dribbling and be well on his way to a brilliant career in the beautiful game.

After commencing with local Malian side Djoliba AC in 1998 the defensive back caught the eye of Lens management and one year later he was draped in the blood and gold. Since 1999 Mr. Coulibaly has been confidently manning the Lens backline alongside Vitorino Hilton giving Lens one of the most formidable defenses in Ligue 1 during the past few years.

Coulibaly also features prominently on the Malian national team and figures to do so for years to come. So happy birthday, bon anniversaire Mr. Adama Coulibaly!
