Mangane out for three games
By: Jay | September 24th, 2007
Well, a bit of unfortunate news is emanating out of la Gaillete. Our new midfielder, Senegalese international Abdou Kader Mangane will miss Lens’ next three contests. After being unceremoniously sent off in saturday’s clash with Toulouse on a questionable decision from the officials, Mr. Mangane will automatically sit out the northern derby this wednesday against Lille.
Furthermore, due to the fact that next week’s match against Lyon is a reschedule and by regulation Mangane was not with the team at the time the match would have originally been played he must sit it out.
Finally, he does not qualify for the second leg of the UEFA matchup versus Copenhagen. Yes, our prized young tiger will not don the sang et or until the October 6 clash against Auxerre. Let’s hope Kader has a good plasma set or at least RCL TV.

Why doesn’t he qualify for the UEFA Cup match?

Inara,
The reason he doesn’t qualify for the UEFA match is he already played in the UFEA Cup with another team (Young Boys of Berne) therefore he cannot also play for Lens.
